$$\begin {tabular} {|c|c|c|c|c|c|}\hline
$x$&-2&-1&0&1&2\\\hline
$f(x)$&9&4&-1&-6&-11\\\hline
\end {tabular}$$

f(x)=-5x-1

I'll try and give you an insight into some of my logic.

When the top is positive, the bottom is negative so there is a  mult by  a neg number in there.

Then I just looked at the numbers and  "times by -5" came to me as a distinct possibility,

the nubers would have been    10,5,0,-5,-10

so I had to subtract 1
