Use this equation for the question below : 2H2 + O2 --> 2H2O If 120 grams of oxygen (O2) is used, what mass of water (H2O) will be formed?

Moles of O2 = 120/32 =  3.75 moles

you need TWICE as many Moles of H2   3.75 x 2 = 7.5 moles of H2    7.5 x 2.016 = 15.12 gms oh h2

 

120gms of O2  + 15.12 gms H2 = 135.12 gms H20
