2a + 9s = 68

10a + 1s = 76       This is all given....    Now multiply the top equation by - 5

-10a -45s = -340     now when you add the two bottom equations 'a' is eliminated

       - 44s = -264        s= 6       now you can sub this into one of the equations to solve for 'a'     to finish the answer.........

\(a\) = adult tickets sold

\(s\) = student tickets sold

\(2a+9s=68\)

\(10a+s=76\)

Solve for the system, and you find that a student ticket costs \(\color{brown}\boxed{6}\), and you can find what an adult ticket costs by subsituting.
