Yes ipopsie, that is really good.

You just need to add the Tn=    out the front of each of them :))

Hi ipopsie,

could you please answer these questions for me.  ??    :D

16, 25, 34 ,43, 52, ...        nth term = ......

Please tell me, what is being added each time? and what is the first term?

If the same thing is being added on each time what kind of a sequence is it?

-4, -11, -18, -25, -32,        nth term = ......

Please tell me, what is being subtracted each time? and what is the first term?

That is really good ipopsie,   :)

16, 25, 34 ,43, 52, ...        nth term = ......

Please tell me, what is being added each time?    d= 9                   and what is the first term?       a= 16

If the same thing is being added on each time what kind of a sequence is it?

-4, -11, -18, -25, -32,        nth term = ......

Please tell me, what is being subtracted each time?   d= -7 each time     and what is the first term?   a= -4

And yes they are both APs.

The formula for the n'th term os an AP is

 \(T_n=a+(n-1)d\)

where a is the first term and d is the common difference.

Now you should be able to tell me what the formulas are.

You will need to tidy up the algebra a little.

Remember there is an invisable multiply sign between the close bracket and the d       :)

So

16 + 9(n-1) =  7 + 9n

and

-4 + (-7)(n-1) =  3 - 7n

Is that Correct?
