Write the general solution to y = arcsin (0.9659).
Select all that apply:
a. 15°±360°k
b. 75°±360°k
c. 105°±360°k
d. 165°±360°k
arcsin (0.9659) = b. 75°±360° and c. 105°±360°k
I understand why b is an answer, but could you explain why c is?
Remember that the sine is positive in the first quadrant and in the second quadrant
And we have the identity that sin (180° - A) = sin 180°cos A - sin Acos180° =
0*cosA - sinA*(-1) = sin A
So.....
sin (180° - 75°) = sin (105°) = sin (75°)
