Make x the  subject:
y = 5 (t+x)

y = 5 (t+x) is equivalent to 5 (t+x) = y:
5 (t+x) = y

Divide both sides by 5:
t+x = y/5

Subtract t from both sides:
Answer: | x = 1/5 (y - 5t)
