Personally, if I posted an answer to this I would do the calculation based in "seconds"  first and then finish it off by dividing by 60 to get "minutes", but it would yield the same results.

It's just a habbit of mine.

Having mild dyslexia, I find it helpful to compartmentalize each part of an equation.
But maybe doing that to single elements is a bit of an overkill.

I'll keep that in mind from now on, when posting.

PS...: As a side note...
My nickname "BizzyX" goes way back into the 1980's
Two of my favorite game-series were the "Bubble Bobble"-series and the "Dizzy"-series.
When a few of my friends and I joined the local "DEMO-Scene" on Commodore-computers(Mainly on the "C=64" and/or "C=128".), my nick was actually "Bizzy Bub".
But I later shortend it to what it is today, "BizzyX".
Mainly because I wasn't part of that "DEMO-Scene" anymore, but it's also easier to remember.

If there are "126" students on the 6th grade team, and they are planing a party.

Where each student will have two slices of pizza.

That means that they need at least "252" slices of pizza.
If each pizza provides "8" slices each, the following equation will give you the answer.

((126*2)/8)=31.5

That means they roughly need "32" pizzas.

If you know that "(a+b)=84".

And you know that "((a/2)-(b/3))" equals a difference of "12".

You could then say that "(a/2)=((b/3)+12)".
Which equals "24" on both sides.
That in turn means that​ if "(a/2)" equals "24" then "a" must equal "48".

And if "(a+b)=84", that means that "b=(84-48)" equals "36".
 

Just to do a quick check...

"((a/2)-(b/3))" = "((48/2)-(36/3))"
That should equal "12", if not check your math.

Because if "((a/2)-((b/3)+12))" is correct, that in turn means that "((48/2)-((36/3)+12))" should equal "0".

If "80" machines can produce "4800" identical pens in "5" hours.
But you wish to calculate how many pens 1 machine can produce in 1 hour.
That can be easily done with the following equation...

"((4800/80)/5)=x"

That gives you the answer 12 pens per machine, per hour.

The use of "OR" in a sentence implies "EITHER" not "BOTH".
And as such saying "24 in 27" is good enough of an answer in this context.
If you first decide to nitpick, you should add "14 in 27" to the list as well.

Here's an example...
The problem "2 to the 4th power", which basically means "(2^4)".

Knowing this we can do the following.

"(2^4)=((2^2)^2)=(4^2)=(4*4)=16"

From that we know how to solve your problem.
"(25^4)=((25^2)^2)=(625^2)=(625*625)=?"

I have to be honest here.

That sounds like a trick question of sorts.

Kind of like the scenario, "You have 1kg of feathers and 1kg of iron. Which is the heaviest of the two?".

With that said...
Calculating the volume of "Container/Tank A" will give you the answer.
Seeing that it's the same amount of water you pump from A to B.
It doesn't matter if "Container/Tank B" happens to have a slightly larger total volume than "Container/Tank A", 'cause the amount of water stays pretty much the same.

The other way around, however, that would make a mess.

Example...
You have two jugs, A and B.
Jug A can room 1 Liter of water.
Jug B can room 2 Liter of water.

You fill "Jug A" up to the 1L-mark.
You then pour the water over into "Jug B".

Question...:
How much water is now in "Jug B"?
The answer should be fairly obvious...

On one hand...
If he works 40 hours on hourly pay of $25,- per hour, that equals $1000,- per week.
On the other hand...
If he chooses to work on commission equaling 10% of weekly sales.
That would mean that he has to sell for a total of $10000,- for the 10% commission to equal his hourly pay of $1000,- a week.
