Hi there...

Question...: "What is 25 to the fourth power?"

Here's an example...
The problem "2 to the 4th power", which basically means "(2^4)".

Knowing this we can do the following.

"(2^4)=((2^2)^2)=(4^2)=(4*4)=16"

From that we know how to solve your problem.
"(25^4)=((25^2)^2)=(625^2)=(625*625)=?"

I hope that helped a bit?

Kind regards
BizzyX

Why do you need all of those brackets ?

They're distracting.

Not much.  Here's how to do it.

What is 25 to the fourth power?

To do it manually:               Multiply 25 x 25 x 25 x 25 and you'll get the answer.

(Note that there are 4 of those 25's.)

To do it on a calculator:      Key in 25

                                          Tap the XY button

                                          Tap the 4 button

                                          Tap the = button.

.

If all s/he needed was the answer, that could be obtained from the answers in the back of the textbook.  The student needs to know how to get there.
