A salesperson works 40 hours per week at a job where he has two options for being paid. Option A is an hourly wage(per hour) of $25. Option B is a commission rate of 10% on weekly sales. How much does he need to sell this week to earn the same amount with the two options?

Hi there...

On one hand...
If he works 40 hours on hourly pay of $25,- per hour, that equals $1000,- per week.
On the other hand...
If he chooses to work on commission equaling 10% of weekly sales.
That would mean that he has to sell for a total of $10000,- for the 10% commission to equal his hourly pay of $1000,- a week.

I hope that helped a bit?

Kind regards
