So when we look at this two sides have similar angles there like the 61 degree and ther is anothe 61 degree so 61 + 61 = 122 

and we know all angles equal 360 degree's so 360 - 122 = 238  

and we see that there are also two angles that are a similar to another or congruent you could say so 238 divided by 2 = 119  

So x = 119 

Although I have given the answer I should have helped you find the answer rather than give it though keep in mind that all angles tally up  360 degrees that is an extremly important factor you seem to miss that will be vital to finding future answers

Hey so I don't want to mess up what EP is trying to teach you but I can help you a little but not much What he said or ment was that you can can subtract 108 from 180 degree's because both angles are on a straight line if you do the following subtraction you will get z now after that all you need to do is find y so keep in mind what EP said that all inside angles add up to 360 degree's : )

In the picture you sent there is some required independent thinking required so when all said in done this can be divided into two right triangles and a rectangle and the formula for a triangle is b x h divided by 2  and a rectangle is l x w so now add them up and what do you think the answer is ? message me when done : )

In this problem you indicated to have (3/6) to the second power like you said + 7x4 - 5 

so first we multiply 3/6 x 3/6 we get 9/36 simplifying that we get 1/4 

so now we have 1/4 times 2 which is 2/4 and simplifing that is 1/2 and 7 x 4 = 28 

so 28 + 1/2 = 28 1/2 or in decimal forum ( see the pun there XD) is 28.5  

so 28 1/2 - 5 =  23 1/2  but if you need decimal form it's 23.5
