First find Lowest Common Denominator.
Then add numerator.
Then Simplify.
e.g.
1/3 + 2/4
LCD
3,6,9,12
4,8,12
Its 12!
So,
1/12 + 2/12
Now it gets easier.
1+2 =3
3/12
Simplifed = divide by 3
Which is 1/4
Using those steps, (if you want) try to do :
3/4 + 6/5
0.44/1 .
Times by 100 (theres 2 digit on 0.44 so 10*10 =100)
44/100
Now simplify it
Divide both by 22 so 44/66 = 2/3 as 44/22 = 2 and 66/22 = 3
it is 2 (answer)
Theres loads of way as algebra, can be put into different ways. But heres a simple one.
x + 60 = 110
If we do the inverse, 110-60=50
x=50
50+60=110
