=-\sqrt9\times i\times i\\
=-3\times -1\\

Yes anon that is one one interpretation.   But you should state exactly what question you have answered.

Well if there are 28 different numbers in a hat and you randomly chose 4 of them without replacement.  Then there is 100 % certainty that they will all be different.

I look for a 2 numbers that multiply to -60  and add to +11 but there arn't any so there are not rational roots.

I.e. you can factorise but there will be irrational numbers in there. This is not a normal thing to do.

If you want to do that you could use the quadratic formula or completing the squares method and work backwards from there.
