This is how i would do it

$$\\\frac{3}{8}\;of\;56\\\\
=\frac{3}{8}\times \frac{56}{1}\\\\
=\frac{3}{\not{8}}\times \frac{\not{56}^7}{1}\\\\
=21$$

you can take the term to the power of 1/5

243^(1/5) = 3

because

3*3*3*3*3=243

It opens up because the number in front of the x^2 is positive!

let x=0.84 repeater

100x = 84.848484....

      x =   0.848484.....

subtract

 99x = 84

x=84/99
