MG you made a mistake   

It appears that CPhill joined the forum on 13th March and he was apppointed moderator on 11th May.

Two months.  The forum was new born then - barely more than a feotus.  Things happen faster when we are very young :)

One very important command in LaTex that i have not shown you yet is array,

here is a little example

$$\begin {array}{rll}\\
4+5+9-7&=&y-19\\
11&=&y-19\\
30&=&y\\
y&=&30\\
\end{array}$$

See how everything is lined up  

This is the code.   The ampersand & is the symbol for the lining up.

{rll}  means that first part is pushed right onto the ampersand.

the = sign (or what ever is next) is pushed left on against the &

and the last bit is pushed left onto the second &  

You can do a great many things with the array function - Heureka makes EXCELLENT use of it !!

I had to search for the bullet point on the internet.  I just googled LaTex, fat dot.

Integrals are used to find areas under curves. 

There are really just finding the sum of an infinite number of infinitely skinny recatangles under a curve and adding all the bits together to get a total area.

the symbol for integral is    $$\int$$    This is a stylized S and it stands for "sum of"

They can also be used to find volumes.

There are the opposite of derivatives.

Much like multiplication and division are opposites of each other.

how they are used requires specific examples :)

No it wasn't that quick.  Have a look through the old wraps and see if you can find a date for us MG.

Please can we have Nauseated back.  We keep him muzzled but he doesn't like cold damp dungeons.

This is his bed he shares it with his best friend Suzie.  Look how sad she is.  She is really missing him.
