Hayley, you answers need explanations - in fact the explanation is much more important than the answer.

you could just tell them where to look for the formula if you want - you do not have to give whole answers - but don't give only answers unless you have a very good  reason. :/

how do you find the stupid volume of a trapazoid I just need the steps cuz I forgot again

A trapezoids is just a trapezium prism.

For any prism the volume is the area of the face that stays the same all the wat though x the distance it goes back.

So volume of trapezoid

= area of trapezium x depth

the area of a trapezium = the average of the two parallel sides x height.

after 2 year it would be  8,200x1.03^2  people

after 3 year it would be  8,200x1.03^3  people

etc

PLUS, you do not need to ask if people want an explanation - of course if it is a serious question then they want an explanation. ://  You do not have to give them the whol answer though if you don't want to. Sometime is is good to let them do some of the work :)

Estimate the sum of 3627 and 4187 to the nearest hundred

3637 rounds of to 3600

AND

4187 rounds off to 4200

36+42=78

so the sum is approximately 7800

Math is exciting when I get to learn how to do it by people asking questions like earlier but it has been like 2 hr since I have seen a math problem that I can understand. I'm only 12 when I have nothing to do I come here. But I can't do anything here right now .!!!!!!!
