12=2 X 2 X 3
15=3 X 5, therefore:
LCM=2 X 2 X 3 X 5=60, which is the correct answer.
Oh, okay! I see what i did wrong there! I did it a different way. They both go into 60. My bad! I see now.

Ok you kids have got some concept problems here.
MULTIPLES
A multiple of a number is bigger to or equal to the number.
Multiples of 12 are 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, ........., 120 ....
Multiples of 15 are 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, ....., 120, ....
The common multiples are the ones that are common to both lists. that is 60, 120, 180, .......
The LEAST common multiple is 60 because that is the smallest common multiple. It is the one with the LEAST value.

FACTORS
The factors of 12 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12
The factors of 15 are 1, 3, 5, 15
So the HIGHEST common factor of 12 and 15 is 3
