Very interesting question. No high level maths required.
This question was posted a couple of days ago.

I think it is really interesting. It looks much more difficult than it really needs to be.

Some guidelines for question askers.
Please note:
1) Ask only one question per post.
2) When asking a question talk about what you have tried for yourself. Then people will take you more seriously and will be more able and willing to help.
3) If you get an answer

There are 10.2pounds of ball bearing in a box. Each bearing weights0.006 pounds how many bearing are in the box
When you get problems like this it is best to think of a similar much easier problem
eg.
There a 10pounds of wooden planks, each plank weighs 2pounds. How many planks are there?
Do you add, minus, multiply or divide.?
If you can do this simple question then you can do the same with the harder one and you will have your answer.

factorise 2x+6
You need to work out what goes into 2x and into 6. the answer to this is 2
2x+6=2*x+2*3
now take the 2 out the front
=2(x+3)

It doesn't make sense. you can't have a ^ at the beginning of a bracket.

2100[1/1.057+1/(1.057)^2...+1/(1.057)^24]
Sn = a(1-r
n
) / (1-r)
Total = 2100 * S
24
= 2100 * { [ (1/1.057)(1-1/1.057
24
) ] / (1-1/1.057)}
= 27,102.42399
That's what I got anyway.

It is

OR

Is that you meant?

You can't solve for x when there is no x in the equation
y=-4+3.
y=-1
If you graphed this on the x y number plane it would be a line parallel to the x axis through -1 on the y axis.
x can be anything!
