Thanks anon, you have probably answered this question the way it was intended but this is what was actually asked.

$$\\.06=(188/188+x)(100)\\\\
0.0006=1+x\\\\
0.0006-1=x$$

$${\mathtt{0.000\: \!6}}{\mathtt{\,-\,}}{\mathtt{1}} = {\mathtt{\,-\,}}{\frac{{\mathtt{4\,997}}}{{\mathtt{5\,000}}}} = -{\mathtt{0.999\: \!4}}$$

.06=(188/188+x)(100)

0.0006=$${\frac{{\mathtt{188}}}{\left({\mathtt{188}}{\mathtt{\,\small\textbf+\,}}{\mathtt{x}}\right)}}$$

$$188+x=\frac{188}{0.0006}$$

x=313145.3
