Not quite saseflower

at the end you had to multiply both sides by 5 not divide

 

An easier way would haave been to multiply both sides by 5 right at the very beginning.

That would have gotten rid of the fractions immediately :)

1/5 (a + 10) = -3

Use distributive property

1/5a + 2 = -3

Subtract 2 from both sides

1/5a = -5

Divide by 1/5 on both sides

a = 1/25
