1. AC is tangent to the circle with center at B.

The measure of ACB is 58dg.

What is the measure of ABC?

2. Chord AC intersects chord BD at point P in circle Z.

AP=4cm

BP=5cm

PC=8cm

What is PD?

1.

m∠BAC = 90º because AC is tangent to the circle with center at B.

m∠ACB = 58º

Every triangle has 180º.

m∠BAC + m∠ACB  + m∠ABC = 180º

90º + 58º + m∠ABC = 180º

m∠ABC = 180º - 90º - 58º = 32º

2.

AP * PC = BP * PD

4 * 8 = 5 * PD

32 = 5 * PD

32/5 = PD

6.4 = PD
