1. Pam has 5 coins with a total value of 45¢. She gives 2 coins to Choi. What is the total value of the coins Pam has left?

Questions (both parts) are a bit unclear:

 

1) pam has a quarter and 4 nickels  (??)     if she gives away two coins she has either   15 cents (gave away a quarter and a nickel) or 35 cents (gave away two nickels)

   If she has 9 cent coins (??), giving two away would leave her    45 - 2(9) = 27 cents

 

2)    10 -20 -30 - 40 50       50 cents

         Is the question saying he has 2-cent coins?

            2 -4 -6-8-10-12      12 cents               total   50 + 12 = 62 cents   (??)
