Maybe one of our Physics gurus can answer it.
I just looked the unit up up.
1 Newtons = 1 kg m /sec*2
So I suppose
The boys foce is \( \frac{48kg*2.5m/s }{1.2sec} = 100 N\)
And the girls force, in the opposite direction, is \( \frac{40kg*3m/s }{1.2sec} = 100N\)
