1. What is the value of this expression? Write your answer without exponents.

6^3 / 6^2 x 6^2  ( <-- the x is there to mean multiplication.)

1. 6^3 / 6^2 * 6^2

6^3 / 6^2 = 6^1 since you just have to subtract 3-2 (division of exponents) and that'll be your exponent.

Now, 6^1 * 6^2 = 6^3 since you add 1+2 (multiplication of exponents) and that'll be your exponent.

6^3 = 6*6*6 = 216.

2. 6,000 m/min --> # km/hr

You know that kilo means 1000 so 1 km = 1,000 m & there are 60 mins. in an hour.

So, we divide by 1000 and then multiply by 60: 6,000/1000 = 6; now 6*60 = 360 km/hr.
