divide both sides by 100,

= \((1.04)^2·^t=3\)

use the power rule :

\((b^n)^m = b^n·^m \)

=\((1.04^2)^t=3\)

square 1.04

=\(1.0816^t=3\)

use log base 1.0816 = 3

t= log(base, 1.0816) 3 = 14.005511

t== 14.005511
