Let  n  represent the number of times that the boat is rented.

For members, the amount they pay will be  105.00 + 9.50n.

For non-members, the amount is strictly          14.75n.

Set these equal to each other to find the number of times the boat is rented so that the amount is the same for members and non-members:     105.00 + 9.50n  =  14.75n

Simplify:                               105.00  =  5.25n

Divide by 5.25:                              n  =  20 times

It is cheaper to be a non-member if you want to use the boat fewer than 20 times; more than 20 times, it is cheaper to be a member.
