This one requires distribution of the 2 and 16 first.

 

Multiply 2 to 3 and x --> 2*3 - 2*x = 6 - 2x

Multiply 16 to x and 1 --> 16*x + 16*1 = 16x + 16

 

Now, we have 6 - 2x = 16x + 16.

 

Add 2x to both sides and subtract 16 from both sides.

 

Can you take it from there?

i had that so does that mean if i did it right the answer would be -10 = 18x and then i would divide 18 and 10
