Thanks anon but this is not an equation the asker just wants it simplified :)

2(3p+2)+19p

=6p+4+19p

=25p+4

 

Note:

If it had been equal to 0 your answer would have been perfect:)

When an equation isn't set to equal anything, as the one above, one can typically assume it equals zero:

2(3p+2)+19p=0

Since you always solve in PEMDAS order, start by distributing into the parantheses:

2(3p+2)+19p=0

(6p+4)+19p=0

As you can't simplify the parantheses any more, they're unnecessary. After getting rid of them, combine like terms:

6p+4+19p=0

25p+4=0

Isolate the variable (p):

25p=-4

And, finally, divide to find the final answer:

p= -4/25

Always check to see if the final answer can be simplified any further. In this case, it can't, so your final answer is:

p=-4/25
