This is how you can do your question without a calculator.
(2.4×10−9)(4.0×1023)=2.4×4×10−9×1023=2.4×4×10−9×1023=9.2×10−9+23=9.2×1014
.(2.4 x 10^-9) (4.0 x 10^23)
= (2.4*10^-9)*(4.0* 10^23)
= 960000000000000
= 9.6∗1014.
