-2n + 4 + 6 < 16

 

Combine like terms:

-2n + 10 < 16

 

Subtract both sides by 10:

-2n < 6

 

Divide both sides by -2 and note that we have to change < to > since we have a negative:

n > 6/-2

 

n > -3.
