Let the number of caps sold = x....so the number of sweatshirts = 6x

And we have   ...  price * quantity sold  = sales

10x + 20(6x) =  2860  simplify

10x + 120x = 2860

130x = 2860     divide by 130 on each side

x = 22 ....... that's the number of caps sold

And 6(22) = 132 .... that's the number of sweatshirts sold
