This answer is prob. not even math anymore, so im not sure if this is correct, but 

anyways:

 

sqrt(100) = 10

10 * 2 = 20

 

8 - 1 = 7

 

20 1 7

 

used numbers:

100, 2, 8, 1, 1

 

edit:

This is supposed to be a math puzzle right? I hope so, otherwise just forget this answer.

solve for 2017 using these numbers only once: 100, 50, 8, 2, 1, 1

 

I'll give you my logic first and follow it with the answer.

 

8*50=400

8*2*100=1600

8*2=16

 

400+1600+16   +1 = 2017

so

 

8(50+200+2)  +1 =  2017

 

8[ 50 +2(100+1) ]+1 = 2017

 

----------------------------

so we have

100+1=101

2*101=202

202+50=252

252*8=2016

2016+1=2017
