25. What is the equation of a vertical line passing through the point (3, −5)?

A. y = −5

B. x = −5

C. y = 3

D. x = 3

27. Jack earns $50 for washing cars on the weekend. He makes an average of $4.25 in tips per hour. Write the function of Jack's earnings, and solve for how much he would make after 6 hours.

A. y = 4.25x + 50; $54.25

B. y = 50x + 4.25; $69.50

C. y = 50x + 4.25; $304.25

D. y = 4.25x + 50; $75.50

28. A function is created to represent the amount of money spent on lunch if you spent 5 dollars a day. What restrictions would be made to the range?

A. The range would only include integers.

B. The range would only include negative integers.

C. The range would only include positive integers.

25)Format of equation of vertical line: x = (x-coord of passing point.).

ANS : D.

27) The function is y = 4.25x + 50 and that's elementary....... Solving is elementary too....... Just substitute x = 6 into the formula.

y = 4.25(6) + 50 = 25.5 + 50 = $75.5 OR $75.50

ANS : D.

28) integers means negative and positive whole numbers. negative money is odd right? SO the answer won't be A and B.

D wouldn't be the answer too because you won't have $sqrt3 in your wallet.

ANS: C.
