This number line shows all the possible values of p. I couldn't get it to exactly start at -2.25, but you get the point. 

*Remember that when graphing an inequality, the circle is closed if it is has a line under the sign.

Thanks anonymous,

If you were a member  (it is free and a simple procedure) then you could have edited your first answer and that would have been better. 

I'd really like someone to put a number line here to make it clear how the answer works.

Children often have problems understanding < and > with negative numbers.

Any voluteers?
