(28w + 1) /4 = -5
$$\\\frac{(28w + 1) }{4} = -5 \\\\ 28w + 1 = -20 \\\\ 28w + 1-1 = -20-1 \\\\ 28w = -21 \\\\ w=\frac{-21}{28}\\\\ w=\frac{-3}{4}$$
(28w+1)/4=-5w
Multiply both sides by 4.
28w+1=-20w
Subtract 1from both sides.
28w=-20w-1
add 20w to both sides.
8w=-1
divide both sides by 8
w=-1/8
