3^3-(9*2+1) how does this equal 8 all i get when i do this myself is 1

We use order of operations....parentheses first.

(9*2=18)

(18+1=19)

so now we have 3^3-19

Do the 3*3*3=27

27-19=8

You made a mistake somewhere in there

By the way....

if you did

3^2-(9*2+1)

Your outcome would be....

(9*2=18)

(18+1=19)

3*3=6

6-19=-13
