3000*5000 in standard form

I think standard form is the English way of saying scientific notation.

so I think the answer that is wanted is      $$1.5\times 10^{7}$$

This is a pretty easy problem. The way I would do this is multiply 5 and 3 and then add the remaining zeros for an answer of 15,000,000.
