This is my interpretation.

 

3x+3(x-2)= 3(x+6)

3*x+3*(x-2)= 3(x+6)

 x=8

 

 

\(3x+3(x-2)= 3(x+6)\\ 3x+3x-6= 3x+18\\ 6x-6= 3x+18\\ 3x-6= 18\\ 3x= 24\\ x=8\)

 

So yes your answer is correct.
