To put this ino a more 'standard' or solvable form, subtract 2y from both sides of the quation to get:

3y^2 - 2y +7 = 0

Now you can use the quadratic formula to solve it to find the 'y' value(s)

Do you know the Quadratic Formula?

In this problem   a=3  b = -2 and c = 7
