 how do you graph 3y-x=8

3y-x=8

1st.....let x = 0 ...then 3y = 8    .....divide by 3 on each side  ....so y = 8/3

So we have one point on the graph  ....(0, 8/3)

Now....to get a second point, let y= 0   ..... then we have .... - x = 8 ,  ....and it's obvious that x = -8  ..... so, our second point is (-8, 0)

Plot both these points on a graph and draw a kine through them.....that will be your graph
