To divide 4/7 by 3/5,

First you need to turn the second fraction upside down (it becomes a reciprocal)

3/5 becomes 5/3

Then multiply the first fraction by that reciprocal

4/7 x 5/3 = 4x5/7x3 = 20/21

And now simplify the fraction

20/21 = 0.95 (to 2 decimal places)

Sorry Melody, hope this answer makes more sense.

$${\frac{\left({\frac{{\mathtt{4}}}{{\mathtt{7}}}}\right)}{\left({\frac{{\mathtt{3}}}{{\mathtt{5}}}}\right)}} = {\frac{{\mathtt{20}}}{{\mathtt{21}}}} = {\mathtt{0.952\: \!380\: \!952\: \!380\: \!952\: \!4}}$$

Thanks Mikado, perhaps you should give some instruction on how to do it by hand. :)
