4m-4 = 4m
This has no solution.......we can't subtract 4 from 4m and end up with 4m.....!!!!
i thought the same thing CPhill, but schools tend to ask rediculous questions and expect you to find a way to answer them even if its completely illogical...
subtract 4m from both sides.
4m−4−4m=4m−4m
now we have −4=0
then add 4 to both sides.
−4+4=0+4
so the most simplified we can get it is 0=4
