-5(1-5x)+5(-8x-2)=-4x-8x

Distribute the -5 and 5 and combine like terms:

(-5*1 - (-5*5x)) + ((5*-8x) - 5*2) = -12x

 

Multiplying all of it out:

Combine like terms and keep track of negatives:
