(5/2)^x+(5/2)^(x+3) in the form of A*(5/2)^x Can somebody help me with the steps to.
The term (5/2)^x is common to both terms as (5/2)^(x+3) can be written in the form (5/2)^x*(5/2)^3
So (5/2)^x + (5/2)^(x+3) → (5/2)^x*(1 + (5/2)^3) → (5/2)^x*(1 + 125/8) → (5/2)^x*(133/8)
So with A = 133/8 we have (5/2)^x + (5/2)^(x+3) = A*(5/2)^x
