If you want to express this just as a normal number then this is how

$$10^6$$   is  a big number (because the 6 is positive) It is 1 followed by 6 zeros

that is    1000000

so your question is 

$$5.8\times 1000000$$

there are 6 zeros so you need to move the decimal place 6 places in the direction that will make it bigger.
