Solve the following system: {3 y-5 x = 27 | (equation 1) -2 x-2 y = -2 | (equation 2) Subtract 2/5 × (equation 1) from equation 2: {-(5 x)+3 y = 27 | (equation 1) 0 x-(16 y)/5 = (-64)/5 | (equation 2) Multiply equation 2 by -5/16: {-(5 x)+3 y = 27 | (equation 1) 0 x+y = 4 | (equation 2) Subtract 3 × (equation 2) from equation 1: {-(5 x)+0 y = 15 | (equation 1) 0 x+y = 4 | (equation 2) Divide equation 1 by -5: {x+0 y = -3 | (equation 1) 0 x+y = 4 | (equation 2) Collect results: Answer: | | {x = -3 y = 4}

-5x +3y =27  multiple it to x2

-2x-2y=-2      multiple it to x3

-10x+6y=54 then + it to each other

-6x-6y=-6

-16x=48

do the rest by yourself :)
