so we'd solve this like
6+(-4)= (-4)+6 (now to solve this , lets break it into two parts L.H.S ( Left Hand Side) and RHS (Right Hand Side) ]
LHS = 6+ (-4) (and now out here we will change the plus and minus sign to just minus sign and then subtract them both simply)
= 6 - 4
=2 ANSWER
and now we will solve RHS
RHS= (-4)+6 (here we just have to mopen the brckets of -4 and subtract)
= -4+6
= 2 ANSWER
so.......LHS is equal to RHS so the final answer would be
2=2 ANSWER
i hope u've understood by now but if not then pls be free to ask!
hope this helps!
There actually is no question here.
It is just a true statement.
6+(-4)= (-4)+6
But as Rosala has said the answer is 2.
But Melody this is a question!ive solved many like this!this isnt a true statement either!her we were to determine IF this was a true statement or not and i have determined that yes this is a true statement by using the method of LHS and RHS so this is a question!
Rosala has treated this question like a proof.
And yes Rosala if it had been presented as 'prove' your answer would be 100% correct.
It is not wrong anyway - but there is not question here. It is just a statement.
(I've added this because Rosala has asked me to comment further)
I can't say much more than this. Sorry Rosala.
