If I have a problem that looks like this: 60= (.70)t What should I do to solve?

60 = .70 t    Divide both sides by .7

60/.7 = t = 85.714

 

OR, if this is what you meant:

60 = .70^t       Take the log of both sides

log60 = log(.70^t)

log60 = t log.70

t = log60/log.70 = -11.4792
