6b+3<15 or 4b-2>18 I need help solving this

6b + 3 < 15                               or                     4b - 2 > 18 

Subtract 3 from both sides                                 Add 2 to both sides

6b < 12                                                            4b >  20

Divide both sides by 6                                       Divide both sides by 4

b < 2                                                               b > 5 

So, since "or"  means "union"   .....we have

(- ∞, 2) U  (5, ∞ )

wouldnt you add 2 and get 20 and then divide by 4. because it is a negative 2 already
