Gregory is building a pen for his new puppy. He needs the pen to be 9 hole 1/2 feet by 6 hole 3/4. How many feet of fencing does he need?
I hope u understand 9 hole 1/2.
Is it multiply, division, subtract or addition?
TheBeast's answer is correct but I want you to think about it a bit.
If you start at one corner and wrap wire around the outside of the pen (I'll assume it is a rectangle) this is how much wire you will need.
(9 +1/2) + (6 + 3/4)+ (9 +1/2) + (6 + 3/4)
now there are lots of different ways you can add all these together. TheBeast gave you one way.
