Multiply top and bottom by the conjugate of 7 - 6i  = 7 + 6i and we have

 

[ 8 + sqrt(2)i] [ 7 + 6i] /  ( [7 - 6i] [7 + 6i]  )  =

 

[56 + 7sqrt(2)i + 48i - 6sqrt(2)] /  [49 - 36i^2 ] =

 

[56 + 7sqrt(2)i + 48i - 6sqrt(2)] / 85
